OCCC 9/242 def by East Malvern Tooronga 5/244

After winning the toss and electing to bat on a warm afternoon ideal for batting we found ourselves again under the pump at 4/75 at tea. It again left the job to stew (21) and tad (69) to steady the ship. Together in a solid partnership were able to build the foundation for our strong lower order to chance the arms in the final 20. Notable mentions also from muzz (50) , goat (28) and banger (19) set our final score of 9/242.

With the rain tumbling all week we felt we had the best of the conditions to get the result in our favour. Unfortunately this was not to be. Dropped chances our enemy this week with in total 5 going down. Special mentions with the ball too goat who bowled with good speed and accuracy to finish with 2/36 and super 1/36 showed again his ability to hold up an end with consistent lines and lengths. We as a team took a step forward from our round one defeat but still have a long way to go. Glimpses of what we need aren’t enough and to be the side we want to be we need to be more consistent in ALL areas of our game. This is where all players need to train as much as possible, rally around each other and get ourselves up and about and ready for round 3.

Also super was very upset to see the handing over of the #notoriousPIG award to woody as voted by his peers (and himself) keep an eye on social media for the pigs weekly where abouts.
